The Snakeman Deven Michaels

       Hey now, October is coming to an end and we all know what that means. Its almost Halloween. I don’t know about you, but I know that Halloween is my favorite holiday. You have costumes, decorations, and haunted houses. All things that I fucking love!!!! If I stop there, I would be leaving out my all time favorite part about Halloween. For the past six years there is one movie that comes out and keeps getting better and better every year. In case you don’t know, I am talking about none other than the Saw series. I can’t wait to see Saw VI. I am more than likely going to be going Sunday afternoon. I will be giving you a full report next week.

       I hear that Saw VI is better than the first five. I am damn excited to see it. I was going to see it last Friday, but I was sick. Speaking of being sick, I don’t know what I had but I know that it lasted for about four days. I couldn’t do anything. I would try my hardest, but ultimately I would end up in the bathroom. I highly doubt you want details, so I’m going to stop there. I am sure that you get the point though. LOL

       Anyway, with me being sick it got me thinking and doing some research about the nations latest scare, the Swine Flu, also known as H1N1. Personally I’m not buying into the hype. After reading many different articles and talking with several different people, I fully believe that the Swine Flu is nothing more than a scare tactic to get us to spend our money on flu shots. If you choose to get a flu shot or you have already got a flu shot that is fine and more power to you; however, I will not get one and neither will my daughter.

       Did you know that just the normal run of the mill everyday flu kills more than 2,000 people a year right here in America. That is a lot of people. According to the news reports the Swine Flu has killed a little over 1,000 people. Yes, that is still a lot of lives, but it is only about half of the lives that the normal everyday flu takes a year. The first reported death from the Swine Flu was in April. That is six months ago. So, the way I see it the Swine Flu kills people at the same rate as the flu. Half the number of people in half the time.

       Assuming that all of the reports that I have read are accurate based on simple logic the Swine Flu is no more dangerous than the regular flu. Granted, that is just my opinion on the subject. I am by no means a doctor or a scientist. But that is the way I see the danger factor of the Swine Flu. I think that this is just a great way to scare the American people. I don’t know what purpose it would serve to scare the hell out of us with the exception of money. I think that the pharmaceutical companies have figured out that the more scared we are the more likely we are to spend our money on a vaccine that has not even, (according to reports) been properly tested. I know several people in the medical field that also refuse to take the vaccine because of the risks.

       Maybe I am wrong and this isn’t all about money, but I personally believe that money is the main reason behind the scare. If it is true, it is very sad that large pharmaceutical companies would stoop to levels this low just to make money. There is a reason why our medications cost a lot more than the exact same medications do in countries such as Canada. The American people, in general, are willing to pay the prices no matter how high they may be. We are being screwed on a daily basis by the major pharmaceutical companies in this country and it is time for it to stop.

       All of this medication can’t be healthy for us in the first place. I am not a religious person, but I do believe that our bodies are designed to work in a very specific way. Our bodies can overcome many things and can change and adapt in some amazing ways. We weren’t meant to live forever, but doctors seem to want to keep pumping us full of medications in one helluva an attempt to make us live forever.

       I may not be religious, but I do believe that we all have a time to die. It may be today, it may be tomorrow, or it may be 50 years from now. It is going to happen though. At the end, there is nothing we can do to stop it. One of my favorite jokes is, ‘What is the difference between god and a doctor? God doesn’t think he is a doctor.’ The sad part about that joke is how accurate it is. To many doctors try to play god thinking that they can defy nature. Nothing, any doctor, is ever going to do is make us live forever.

       Mother nature had a damn good plan and all we are doing is fucking with mother nature. At the end of the day we are animals plain and simple. Mother nature had a very simple plan. That plan is that only the strong survive. I see nothing wrong with that plan. If we let nature take its course and live by the laws of nature we wouldn’t be living in an over populated world with a new disease coming out every year. I personally think that all of these new diseases and natural disasters are mother natures form of population control.

       I am sure that there is going to be some people that think I am an asshole for saying what I just said, but I am ok with that. I just wanted to make everyone think a little bit about mother nature and what she wanted. Just remember, it doesn’t matter what major disease that comes out next year, because there will be a new one, at least that has been the trend for the past couple years. When mother nature says it is time for us to die we will die.

       I want to add that I am by no means saying that we shouldn’t take the best possible care of our bodies. We should eat well and exercise. We should try to stay in the healthiest and fittest shape possible, but tomorrow isn’t promised to us. I hope that each and everyone of us lives a long and prosperous life, but that is up to us and mother nature, not doctors and medicines. There certainly are medications and vaccines that help us and are good for us, but we are living in a society that thinks there is a pill that can fix everything. That just isn’t true. So I guess what I am saying is, don’t rely on doctors and medicines, rely on yourself and the way you take care of yourself. If you take care of yourself mother nature will take care of you.

       Damn, that was one helluva a rant. LOL Lets get back to more important business. This past weekend, I was in Wheeling working for Jack Blaze once again. It was a fun night. It’s been a while since the last time I was in Wheeling wrestling. The fans were hot all night long. I was right about one thing last week. My interview on the Hot Spot ended with me driving Blaze’s head through the mat. LOL The son of a bitch, knowing full well that I have been clean and sober for all most a year now, tried to get me to drink with him and when it didn’t work he threw a shot of Southern Comfort in my face. Once he did that I grabbed him and ended the hot spot with an exclamation point. I enjoyed DDTing that little prick after he threw that shit in my face.

       Some young punk named Ace tried to run out and rescue Blaze which didn’t work out too well for him. He should have minded his own damn business but he learned the hard way not to interfere in my business. After a few short minutes his head also came crashing into the mat. All and all it was a great night. Especially talking with fans that I haven’t seen in about six months. Thanks everyone for coming out. I love you guys, my fans are the best and most loyal fans in the world as far as I am concerned.

       This Saturday on Halloween night I will be back in the APWF spotlight. I am not sure who I am going to be facing, but I have a damn good feeling about this coming weekend. I have the utmost faith in my ability to kick ass and take names. If you want a little excitement this Halloween, come on out to see all of the stars of the APWF in Commodore PA at the Green Township Community Center starting at 7:00pm!!!!!

       There has been a resolution between myself and the WVWA. I will never again wrestle for the WVWA, but we have reached an agreement to leave each other alone. That is all I am going to say about that with the exception of; I would like to offer my sincerest apologizes to Chelsea, she was just an innocent bystander and had nothing to do with the heat. She however, is the only one that was innocent in the entire situation.

       I don’t know if it is true or not, but I heard a rumor that the RWA owner and promoter has told at least one person that I know of that he would like to resolve the issue that he and I had. I am more than happy to talk to him if the rumor is true. I don’t know how the conversation would go, but I do know that we are both mature adults and could have a very polite man to man conversation. I suppose that if the rumor is true, there could be a slim chance that I may work for the RWA. None the less, if the rumor is true give me a call or text me at 814-952-3502.

       I do have a little bad news. As much as I am excited about The Serpent’s Lair. I am going to have to push back the start date until December 2nd. There have been a few complications that I didn’t expect and I need just a little more time to get things ready. I am truly sorry for the set back, it probably upsets me more than it does you, but I want The Serpent’s Lair to be absolutely perfect. Maybe I am too much of critic on myself, but this is my baby and I want it to be perfect. LOL I have always wanted to have my own show and damn it I am going to have my own show.
